Document Checklist Generator
CHAS, Constructionline and every SSIP scheme publish their own list of required documents, and assessors check your submission against it line by line. The core set is common to all trades: employer’s and public liability insurance, a health and safety policy, risk assessments and CSCS cards. On top of that sit trade-specific items, such as Gas Safe registration for gas engineers or Part P for electricians.
This generator turns those published requirements into one checklist for your business. Pick your trade, tick the frameworks you are targeting (CHAS, SSIP, Constructionline or ISO) and it produces a list grouped by category, with each document tagged by the accreditations that require it, so you can see where one policy covers several schemes at once. It is free and needs no account. Once your evidence is gathered, you can store, track and share it through ComplianceVault.

Frequently asked questions
- What documents do I need for CHAS accreditation?
- CHAS requires employer's liability insurance, public liability insurance, health & safety policy, risk assessments, CSCS cards, training records, and accident records. CHAS Premium adds environmental policy, equal opportunities, and modern slavery requirements.
- Are the document requirements different for each trade?
- Yes. Different trades have additional specialist requirements: for example, electricians need Part P certification and NICEIC registration, while gas engineers need Gas Safe registration.
- Can I target multiple accreditations at once?
- Yes. Select multiple accreditations and the checklist will show all required documents, tagged with which accreditation needs each one. Many documents overlap, so you can see where a single document covers multiple requirements.
